ADI Report – 2022
My esteemed colleagues of the ADI,
Given the state of the membership of the ADI in the aftermath of the global COVID crisis, an effort is being made by President Dr. Jacob Park to promote the Academy by conducting all-day CE seminars in each Section/Regency either with or without your Annual convocation, or in coordination with another local Dental meeting. Dr. Park will be willing to present 1 day of CE on the topics of CAD-CAM in Dentistry, Clinical Occlusion for Restorative Dentists, or Updates on Current Dental Materials. His usual daily honorarium of $5000.00 is being waived. He would mainly like to use this opportunity to help with the Membership Promotion efforts for the ADI. Our organization requires new fellows and this may be an excellent venue to invite non-member dentists and expose them to the ADI.
Inviting non-member doctors to this meeting will be an excellent opportunity to recruit members and should have at least ten attendees. The CE that Dr. Park can provide can be an excellent enticement for an invitation.
These meetings should be organized and sponsored by the local section. Be creative in coordinating with dental schools and local dental societies to help promote this. All expenses should be picked up by the local section if possible. If the section has the funds, the meeting can be made free to participants, if not, then a fee can be structured for the CE which will pay for the meeting space, A/V, meals, and local arrangements. The ADI will pay for Dr. Park’s airfare. The individual sections will pay for his hotel, meals, and transfers; however, if the local organizing Regency has a financial issue, the ADI Foundation has some funds set aside to help with some of the costs for Dr. Park.
The venue should be located in the major city of each nation, so United and Star Alliance flights can fly directly to avoid multiple connections. Dr. Park can travel 2 times/per month.
Please advise me of any visa or COVID requirements for Dr. Park to prepare for travel. Dr. Park needs to return home on the following Sunday and will only lecture on a Saturday.

Dr. Park has had a busy schedule this year, traveling to convocations in Australia and the Philippines in August. In September, he represented us at the FDI meeting in Geneva. Then along with the USA section convocation, in San Antonio, he was in Guatemala in November. Then in December, he will be in Korea with the Asia-Pacific section.
Next year, he will be in Dubai for convocation in early February and then in Cologne at the IDS meeting in March followed by the Philippian’s section in April.
September 23rd brings the convocation to the Australasia Section just before the FDI meeting.
